ETH1MOD-A + is a MODBUS serial port server via Ethernet network. Connect serial Modbus devices to the network. For LAN and / or Internet.

MODBUS® protocol has a message structure, which was developed by Modicon in 1979. It is used to establish master-slave / client serverkommunication between intelligent devices. It is a de facto standard - but still quite open and probably the most widely used protocol in production environments in the industry.

MODBUS is used to monitor and program devices; to communicate with intelligent devices, sensors and instruments and to monitor devices "in the field" by using computers and the human / machine interfaces. MODBUS is also an ideal protocol for Wireless Communications Option.
