10-contact (10P10C) modular plug—also referred to as RJ50—primarily used for specialized data, control, and audio connections rather than standard Ethernet.

This plug is intended for use with stranded cables rated 24–28 AWG. It features a radius entry to help maintain cable pair geometry for UTP-style wiring.

Typically supplied in bulk quantities (e.g. 50 units per pack on Danbit), it’s suitable for field terminations, installations in control systems, telecom, audio / intercom setups, or other systems needing a 10-wire modular connection.

Because this is not a standard 8P8C (RJ45) connector, it’s used mostly in proprietary or custom applications—not Ethernet. It supports crimp termination, so a compatible 10P10C crimp tool is required for proper installation.
