Singlemode over multimode cable.
With K-FIBER-SM-MMx, single mode signals are transmitted over multimode cables. Thus one can e.g. use multimode cables for connecting between single mode devices.
Multimode cables are used only on shorter distances. Typical max cable length is 2 km at 100 Mbit and 500 m at 1000 Mbit transmission speed.
