Interface Standard for serieltransmission, RS232, was adopted in 1969. Both before and after the adoption has this interface, however, been so popular that has occurred several variants. They have in various ways attempted to blow up the limits RS232 established with regard to cable length and speed where the current limit is 15 meters, while the transmission speed maximum is 921.6 kbit / sec for RS232.
