- Released in July 2013.
- SuperSpeed+: 10 Gbps.
6. USB 3.2
- Released in September 2017.
- USB 3.2 Gen 1x1: SuperSpeed, 5 Gbps (equivalent to USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1).
- USB 3.2 Gen 2x1: SuperSpeed+, 10 Gbps (equivalent to USB 3.1 Gen 2).
- USB 3.2 Gen 2x2: SuperSpeed+ with a new double-lane operation, 20 Gbps.
7. USB4 Version 1.0
- Announced in August 2019.
- USB4 Gen 2x2: Up to 20 Gbps.
- USB4 Gen 3x2: Up to 40 Gbps.
