The shielded Ethernet cable is designed for use in environments where electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) are present.
Examples of such areas are production , Automation and Industrial applications where engines, generators, transformers and other noise emit when industrial machines are in use.
DANBIT offers several variations of shielded Ethernet cables for use in these environments including single-film shielded assemblies to areas with minimal EMI and RFI. Although the Foil Shield provides 100% coverage of the conductors, it is difficult to effectively terminate the connectors and offer high resistance, which does not provide the best path to the ground.
