Monitor fluid levels with an ultrasonic sensor and a ControlByWeb® module. Receive SMS messages or e-mail alarms when a custom level is reached. Log and plot level history with more. Ultrasonic sensors work using ultrasonic waves to measure the distance from a target (i.e., a liquid surface). It measures distance by measuring the difference between the time the wave signal was sent and the time when the same wave was received after it is reflected from the surface.
For example, the ultrasonic sensor in level monitoring is a signal, which is then reflected by the surface of the liquid level. This signal then returns to the sensor measuring the tour time it takes for the signal to run. The sensor uses the measured time to calculate the distance to the surface of the liquid. The sensor reports that the distance to a display and / or a controller. Using this distance, together with the dimensions and volume of the tank, you can calculate how much fluid is left in the tank as you monitor. ControlByWeb modules can calculate this information for you.
Each ultrasonic sensor can be connected to a compatible controlbyweb module (see below) for remotely monitoring fluid levels in real time by means of a standard web browser or mobile device. Fluid levels can be presented to the user as a simple measurement of fluid height, or the module can be configured to calculate the liquid volume used or the remaining volume in the tank and present it to the user. No special software required.
Email and text alerts: When an ultrasonic sensor is connected to a ControlByWeb module, it can be configured to warn you via email or text when a particular level is reached.
Logging and graphs: Log and graph tank and level data. Email log files at regular intervals.
In addition to simple remote monitoring, ControlByWeb modules are fully programmable and also provide custom control functions. For example, you can connect a pump to a relay or an output on a ControlByWeb module and run manually externally, or configure the module to run the pump automatically if the level becomes too low.
