WIBU-BOX/KIT indeholder software og manual samt en nøgle uden licens. Alle WIBU-BOX/KIT nøgler indeholder samme ID nummer, så alle nøgler uden licens vil kunne bruges. Ønskes unikt ID nummer, skal varen WIBU-BOX/LICENS bruges.
Ved distribution af et softwareprodukt man selv udvikler, er WIBU-BOX/LICENS påkrævet. Denne licens til distribuering leveres bl.a. med et unikt firmanummer, som indeholdes i de WIBU-BOX/U der leveres sammen med softwareprodukter, så man altid kan identificere hvor en WIBU-BOX/U stammer fra. Der kræves kun én WIBU-BOX/LICENS pr. firma.
