Other: Built-in diagnostic display shows the status of all connected ports. Normally, the CPU module is powered via the supplied cable. However, if the cable between the card and the CPU module must be longer than 2 meters, it must be extended using the extension kit SER32I-EXT. There can then be up to 100 m between plug-in card and CPU module. NB! Only for RS232 - if RS422 is desired, use the desktop version with the CPU module SER32IC that supports RS422

CPU: Has a built-in 40 MHz RISC processor (TMS320BC52) to ensure minimal load on the system and 512 K memory for buffer.
