ImpactVCB-e Overview

The ImpactVCB-e is a low profile video capture board with live overlay which can be used as the heart of live video display, real time video capture, streaming video or video conferencing solutions. It is a half height PCI Express board for Windows 11 and 10 (both 64-bit and 32-bit) plus Linux with one S-Video and one composite video input, plus stereo audio inputs.

The ImpactVCB-e is a low profile board which is supplied with both a full height and half height brackets.

Video Capture

The ImpactVCB-e will digitize NTSC and PAL video from either composite or S-Video sources. Video from an analog source (composite or S-Video) can be captured as either still frame video images or motion video. The ImpactVCB-e is supplied with the Hauppauge Capture application (download). In addition, if you are developing your own Windows application, the Hauppauge SDK can be used to create a custom application for your system (see this page for more information on the Hauppauge SDK). And for Linux developers, the ImpactVCB-e is included in the 4.0+ kernel and in our PPA for Ubuntu.

Live Video Display

The ImpactVCB-e can be used with the WinTV v10 application for video monitoring, video capture and still frame capture, both full screen and video in a window.
